Wife of axed NBA coach blames Kardashians for his firing

Forget the Sports Illustrated and Madden cover jinxes, the wife of former Rockets coach Kevin McHale says there is another curse taking the sports world by storm.

“Yes, the @KardashianCurse is real. #WhoIsNext?” Lynn McHale tweeted from her account Thursday afternoon, one day after her husband was fired by the Rockets following a dreadful 4-7 start.

James Harden, the Rockets leading scorer and one of the more recognizable players in the NBA, is currently dating Khloe Kardashian, who is still married to the hospitalized Lamar Odom.

While Harden is currently second in the league in scoring at 28.8 points per game, the Rockets sit in fourth place in their division and 10th in the Western Conference after reaching the conference finals last season.

And McHale’s wife was not shy about sharing her thoughts on Twitter all afternoon before eventually deleting her account.

She retweeted an ESPN video in which Charles Barkley stated her husband was “screwed” in being fired by Rockets’ management and quoted a tweet from a parody ESPN account while adding her own thoughts.

“Hmmmmmm….. @NotSportsCenter: REPORT: Kevin McHale was fired after asking James Harden to play defense during a practice. No one asks Harden to do something like that,” she wrote.
